$4.5 billion stake bought by Google in India’s biggest mobile network

Nearly half of the $10 billion promised by Google to be invested in India is going to a company owned by the richest man in Asia. This key detail is being revealed by the company just two days after its promise. According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, $4.5 billion will be invested by Google into Jio Platforms in order to increase access to the hundreds of millions in India without a smartphone.
