North Carolina city apologizes for role in slavery, approves reparations

The Asheville City Council of North Carolina issued an apology for its role in racial discrimination and slavery and voted unanimously to hand out reparations via community investments in order to help members of the Black community. The reparations seek to provide investments in housing, healthcare, and career growth in predominantly Black neighborhoods.

Haha. Passing impossible to enforce laws. Hilarious. You can't find a way to do reparations equitably. It clearly can't be done by race as some of the biggest owners of slaves were black men and some slaves were white as well as how many mixed ethnicity individuals we have with both slaves and slave owners in their ancestry. What a mess of a message to send. Reparations is a ridiculous notion with no real life way of application.
