EU’s top court restricts data transfers to US

Many companies will face restrictions on storing data of EU residents on US servers, after the bloc’s top court ruled that such transfers exposed Europeans to US govt surveillance without ’actionable rights’ to challenge it. The ruling nullifies a widely used EU-US data-transfer agreement. However it creates legal issues and potentially disrupt operations for MNC that do business in the US & EU.
