NYC to provide child care to supplement partial school reopening plans

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced the city will be providing child care for approximately 100,000 students as a part of its initiative to partially reopen schools in the fall. The plan calls for students to attend in-person lessons only part of the week, with all-virtual learning 2 to 3 days per week. He said child care will be available to all parents, regardless of ability to pay, on remote days.

So it’s too dangerous for kids to go back to school, but not to dangerous for kids to attend childcare? Listen, NYC parents are going to need childcare if they’re going to go back to work, that’s inevitable, but we’re being told it’s to dangerous and people will die if we reopen schools (even though Europe is doing fine).
