Some K-pop stars’ accounts have been blocked from view on TikTok’s China version Douyin, Reuters’ checks showed on Friday. On Wednesday, South Korea’s media regulator fined the short-video app for data privacy noncompliance.
TikTok is trying to convince the world they are not ultimately controlled by the CCP. It doesn't look good if Douyin is taking part in China’s tit for tat geopolitical style, now with South Korea.
