C.T. Vivian, civil rights icon dies at the age of 95

The Rev. C.T. Vivian, a civil rights veteran who had worked alongside the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and later led the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, has died at the age of 95. Vivian died at home in Atlanta of natural causes on Friday morning. Cordy Tindell Vivian was born in July 28, 1924, in Howard County, Mo., but had moved to Macomb, Ill., with his mother when he was a young boy.
