British Airways retires entire fleet of Boeing 747 jumbo jets

British Airways announced that it would retire its entire fleet of Boeing 747 jumbo jets with immediate effect owing to the downturn caused by Covid-19 pandemic. BA, which is owned by International Consolidated Airlines Group, added that it will operate more flights on modern, fuel-efficient aircraft such as A350s & 787s and expects them to help in achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
