Chicago rioters attack police protecting Columbus statue with fireworks

Chicago police stepped in on Friday when a large group of demonstrators formed at a statue of Christopher Columbus. Police eventually withdrew after officers were hit with bottles and fireworks for multiple minutes. Vandals then defaced the monument and attempted to tear it down, until a large police presence moved in and used tear gas to successfully clear the area.

Of course if the police break out the bean bags, rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse the rioters attacking them. They're the ones going too far.

Embarrassments to the movement. Feel bad for those protesters that practice peace that are lumped in with them, as well as to the cops that will only ever be seen as bad in their eyes.
