Twitter disables Trump’s tweet after Linkin Park copyright complaint

Twitter disabled a campaign-style video retweeted by President Trump, citing a copyright complaint. The complaint pertains to the video having included music from the group Linkin Park. The band later tweeted that they had issued a cease and desist order over the video and that they did not endorse Trump.

If Twitter is going to remove all copyright violations on their site, this seems reasonable. But if they are only removing material based on the political position of the poster, then it looks like editorial control and they should lose their status as a neutral source.

This was an old threat from LP. They were anti Trump and didn't approve of him using their music. They finally followed through on the threat. It's not twitters fault it's a composing complaint from LP. So it's not about goose gander until we have proof another bands complaint wasn't upheld.

Why can’t they just either use non copyrighted music or just buy the rights to the music they want. They have money for it. Very unprofessional.
