Germany, France, Italy threaten sanctions over weapon shipments to Libya

France, Germany and Italy on Saturday threatened to use sanctions against countries that continued to violate a United Nations arms embargo on Libya. This comes as Turkey has intervened decisively in recent weeks in Libya, proving air support, weapons and allied fighters from Syria to help the internationally recognized government based in Tripoli repel assault by the forces of Khalifa Haftar.
