EU leaders extend talks on unprecedented virus recovery fund

Talks between EU leaders to agree to a £1.68T budget and coronavirus recovery fund have been extended into a fourth day. The leaders are at odds over how to carve up the recovery fund designed to help haul Europe out of its deepest recession since WWII. All nations agree they need to help but the four richer nations in the north, led by the Netherlands, want strict controls on spending.
