US President revokes Hong Kong’s trade benefits, imposes large tariffs

The US president signed an executive order, revoking HK’s trade benefits and imposed large tariffs on China. HK will now be treated as part of mainland China, with no special privileges, no special economic treatment, and no export of sensitive tech. The Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the act was a violation of international law and accused US of interfering in country’s internal affairs.
