Spain to receive 140 billion Euros from EU recovery fund

Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez announced that after almost five days of intense negotiations, Spain is set to receive 140 billion Euros from the EU recovery fund. Half of this will be made available via grants while the other half will be via repayable loans. The proceeds will be used to encourage investment in the digital transformation of economy as well as the transition to greener sources of energy.

Thank God UK left this utter shower of shit. The Club Med economies didn’t need the Coronavirus to harm them - they were in the toilet from decades of widespread corruption and a lack of financial probity. Spend, spend, spend is the number one tune ringing out in that part of the world and they don’t mind stealing the means to fuel more of the same from nations more sensible and reserved in their spending than they are.
