EU stocks turn green for the year after EU leaders agree Covid-19 package

The EU Union finally agreed for a €750bn Covid-19 rescue fund which led to the EU equities turning into positive territory for the year. The agreed deal will see €390bn offered in grants to individual countries, with the rest coming in the form of loans, lower than the proposed €500bn in grants. A multiyear budget of around €1.1 trn from 2021-2027 was also agreed upon by the bloc leaders.
