Trial begins for Germany synagogue attack suspect

A German man goes on trial on Tuesday for a deadly shooting targeting Jews in the eastern city of Halle last year. Stephan Balliet, 28, is accused of killing two people in Oct after he tried and failed to storm a synagogue. He has been charged with two counts of murder and multiple counts of attempted murder. Balliet used explosives and firearms to try to gain access to the synagogue.
