Likely active volcanoes found on Venus

Researchers identified 37 volcanic structures on Venus that appear to have been active in the past 2m to 3m years, defying long-standing theories of the planet being dormant. The research focused on ring-like structures (coronae), providing compelling evidence of widespread recent tectonic and magma activity. ’In my opinion many of these structures are indeed active today’, said a study co-author.
