Soldier’s death prompts call for changes in military

Following the death of Spc. Vanessa Guillen, women’s rights advocates were joined by members of Congress to call for reforms in the way the military deals with cases of sexual abuse and harassment. The family of Vanessa Guillen has claimed that she was sexually harassed by a fellow soldier who is suspected of having killed her, while the Army has denied these claims.

I came across a Twitter thread on this issue. One Army woman had claimed that women are more likely to be raped by men in the Army, than facing a bullet from the enemy. I dont know if this statistic is true, but if it is, then there is something seriously messed up in our forces.
