Michigan convent sees 13 nuns die of coronavirus

Thirteen nuns at a Roman Catholic convent in Livonia have died of Covid-19, with 12 sisters passing in the span of a month. The nuns — aged between 69 to 99 — included teachers, an author and a secretary, were all members of a Felician Sisters convent. The Global Sisters Report said the deaths ’may be the worst loss of life to a community of women religious since the 1918 influenza pandemic.’
