The Indian state of Telangana is making returning migrants pay to stay in the quarantine facilities made available. A charge of at least 8,000 rupees ($107) is being levied on the returning migrants for a week’s stay in hotels, college hostels or empty houses. According to government data, most of the returning people belong to UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
