Russian historian who found Stalin-era graves is convicted of sex crime

A Russian historian who has spent much of his life unearthing Joseph Stalin’s crimes was found guilty on Wednesday of sexually assaulting his adopted daughter, charges that rights groups, his family and friends have dismissed as fabricated for political reasons. Yury Dmitriyev was sentenced to three and a half years and is expected to be freed later this year due to time already served.
