GOP-White House agree to $105 billion in coronavirus aid for schools

The White House and Senate Republicans have agreed to provide $105B for schools as part of a forthcoming GOP coronavirus relief package. The money would consist of $70B for K-12 schools (with half of that reserved for schools that reopen completely in the fall) and $30B for higher education (regardless of reopening status), plus another $5B for governors to allocate at their own discretion.
