Two boys jump from burning apartment into hands of bystanders in France

After a fire engulfed the flat of two brothers aged 3 and 10 in France, bystanders helped them escape by catching the two brothers. In order to save themselves, the brothers jumped into the hands of people standing more than 30 feet below. The boys were taken to the hospital where it was seen that they only suffered minor smoke inhalation but were otherwise unharmed

Walid said he hoped the dramatic rescue will change people’s perceptions of the Villeneuve neighborhood, where there is a large immigrant population. “We are told it’s a ‘sensitive’ neighborhood,” he said, “but yesterday we showed we are here for each other, and we save each other.” Good job! Such stories are a refreshing break away from the usual "migrants are bad" rhetoric, which is based more on racism than logic.
