President Trump denied telling his ambassador to Great Britain to speak to officials about possibly helping his Turnberry golf course in Scotland be chosen as a site for the British Open tournament. A day earlier The NYT first reported that Woody Johnson raised the issue with a British official at the president’s behest. ’It is a highly respected course, one of the best in the world’, Trump added.
