China says US is closing Houston consulate based on ’vicious slander’
China on Thursday dismissed the US government’s charges that the Chinese consulate in Houston was involved in espionage and intellectual property theft, calling them ’vicious slander’. ’The US accusations that China’s consulate general in Houston engaged in activities inconsistent with its capacity are nothing but vicious slanders,’ Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin said.
