France advises citizens to halt travel plans to Spain as COVID-19 cases rise

France witnessed a spike in the number of cases linked to the coronavirus. Authorities have advised citizens to prevent travel plans to Catalonia in neighboring Spain. Although the French border with Spain remains open, Prime Minister Jean Castex is said to be in conversation with the Spanish government to reduce traffic flows.
