Why is it that in America if you become a felon you lose the right to vote? As if now all of a sudden I am a sub-American even though I have done my time and paid my price to society I am still penalized. Then I am futher penalized with lower job opportunities to help me become and continue to be a contributing member of society. One of the main reasons why this country went to war with England was because of taxation without representation which is exactly what you are doing to American citizens who broke the law but are now released back into public after surviving their time. This person who is released is no longer a threat to society this person is free this person is an American citizen who should be allowed to work earn a decent salary and vote. Now I know some of you will just go stay out of jail and you won't have to worry about this. That is totally BS if you believe that. I'm talking about change and doing what is clearly the right move not perpetuating the swinging door of our legal system.
