US sees over 1,000 coronavirus deaths for 4th straight day

The US recorded more than 1,000 deaths from COVID-19 for the fourth straight day on Friday. At least 1,019 fatalities were confirmed nationwide on Friday, following 1,140 on Thurs., 1,135 on Wed. and 1,141 on Tues. The country has now recorded 148,521 deaths, 23% of the worldwide deaths. On the positive side, Dr. Birx said Texas, California, Arizona and Florida are seeing a plateauing of cases.
