BLM rally in Sydney blocked by court; organizers vow to proceed regardless

The Supreme Court of Australia has sided with the country’s police that have asked to prohibit a planned Black Lives Matter rally in Sydney on Tuesday, citing public health orders aimed at quelling the spread of coronavirus. Organizers of the march, however, have vowed to proceed regardless of the court’s order. More than 4000 people had indicated they would attend the rally at town hall.

Although I certainly don't agree with BLMs values at all, they should still have the right to protest and voice their opinions. Here in Australia we are a beautiful, peaceful, democratic nation and personally I'd like to keep it that way. I reckon no protest should be stopped for any reason, otherwise a corrupt government may stop protests with fabricated events
