Effort to block Manhattan DA subpoena for tax returns filed by Trump lawyers

The lawyers of President Donald Trump told a federal court that a subpoena for his tax returns filed by a New York City prosecutor ’amounts to harassment of the President’. The President’s lawyers also put forth the argument that the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office had overstepped its authority after it sought eight years worth of tax returns from the accounting firm of the President.

Nobody that doesn't have something to hide would be trying to block a tax subpoena for this long, if he didn't have anything to hide this wouldn't be an issue

I don't know what anyone is going to find that the IRS doesn't already know? The desperation from people to see them is delusional. You'd better hope there's something more than the one Rachel Maddow got. It wouldn't surprise me if there was no problem at all with them and Trump just wants to keep the nutcases reeeeeing about it. If it ends up being nothing it will hurt the Dems/TDS'ers a great deal, methinks.
