Argentina tests UK’s resolve over Falklands

Argentina has put the Falkland Islands back on the agenda after the country’s Senate unanimously backed legislation sent by President Fernandez reasserting its claim to the British overseas territory. The first bill creates a body relating to the islands and the surrounding maritime spaces. The second aims to establish definitive outer limits of the continental shelf.

I don’t know how many times this has to be said, the inhabitants of the Falklands should decide who they swear allegiance to and no one else. Seems large pile reserves were found in the territorial water so they want to claim it. By the way these islands were never a part of Argentina and have been a British Protectorate since before Argentina was a country.
