Home prices rise again in May, but at a slower rate, Case-Shiller index shows

As per the Case Shiller index, the home price appreciation maintained a steady pace in May as it rose 3.7% y-o-y, down from 3.9% the previous month. On a monthly basis, the index increased 0.4% between April and May. Phoenix continued to lead the country with a 9% annual price gain in May, followed once again by Seattle with a 6.8% increase. Tampa and Fla., came in third, with a 6% uptick.
