Don’t deploy troops on protesters if Trump refuses to leave office: Sen. Warren

Senator Elizabeth Warren has sounded concerns regarding President Donald Trump not exiting from office come November in case he loses, and has called on leaders from top agencies to not deploy federal agents to cities amid protests. In a letter signed to Mark Esper, William Barr, among others, Ms. Warren urged them to prevent the President from turning various agencies into his ’personal militia’.

At best, this fear mongering is aimed at making people believe Trump won't vacate office and therefore, not someone to be voted for to keep dictatorship at bay. Don't such claims affect the idea of democracy that the US stands for? Doesn't it say that whoever becomes President is part of a system that may allow him/her to become dictatorial at their fancy? And really, do we actually believe that Trump will not vacate office on losing the elections?
