Vietnam battles Covid-19 strain not seen in country before

Vietnam is bracing for a resurgence of Covid-19 cases, after months of lull, as new infections have been recorded in the capital, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands region. Officials said the coronavirus strain had not been seen in the country before, and media reported that it was more contagious than previous ones. Vietnam has recorded 446 virus cases, with 145 this week only.
