Federal Agents ensured Portland wasn’t ’burned and beaten to the ground’: Trump

President Donald Trump has defended his decision to deploy federal agents in cities like Seattle and Portland, and said that had the federal officials not been deployed, Portland, Oregon would have been ’burned and beaten to the ground’. The President further said that the Mayor and Governor need to reign in ’Anarchists and Agitators’ else the federal government will go in and ’do the job’.

“She must clear out, and in some cases arrest, the Anarchists & Agitators in Portland,” Trump tweeted of Brown. “If she can’t do it, the Federal Government will do it for her. We will not be leaving until there is safety!” And on the other hand, federal prosecutors have specifically said that agents will not break up crimes but will instead protect federal properties.
