Benefits to expire as negotiators struggle to strike a deal, says Mark Meadows

Mark Meadows, the White House Chief of Staff on Wednesday said that added unemployment benefits are set to expire on Friday, and negotiators currently appear to be struggling with making progress towards a bipartisan deal. The COVID-19 relief package in March had provided for an extra $600 per week federal benefit for those without jobs during the pandemic.
