Obama calls filibuster a ’Jim Crow relic’ and backs new Voting Rights Act bill

Barack Obama, at the funeral of Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), called for an end to the Senate filibuster to pass Democrats’ new legislation on voting reform. He stated that Republicans had imitated Jim Crow-era restrictions on voting rights that Lewis marched against by passing measures, such as state voter ID laws. He encouraged Congress to pass a new version of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Truly horrific, using someones funeral for a political drive by. Such is the "democracy" or low social manipulation tactics of today. Embarrassing.
