Japan ruling party group proposes strike capability in enemy territory

A committee of Japan’s ruling party has approved a proposal for the country to acquire capability of halting ballistic missile attacks within enemy territory. The move is seen as a departure from the pacifist nation’s defense policy with major implications, particularly for North Korea. The proposal could also anger China and Russia, which could fall within range of any new strike weapons.

I'm Japanese and I am against this policy. This is against our constitution. It is against the desires of majority of the people. The ruling party, LDP, have MPs that adhere to a fascist ideology. And while some in the west may be glad that Japan is rearming, Japan is not the west and will not always be an ally to the west. This is not good news for anybody.
