Twitter bans ex-KKK leader David Duke

Twitter has permanently banned the account of white supremacist David Duke for repeatedly violating its rules about ’hateful conduct’. Duke, described by the ADL as ’perhaps America’s most well-known racist and anti-Semite’, was banned from YouTube in June. Duke’s final tweet linked to an interview he had conducted with a Holocaust denier. Duke founded the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1970s.

And now we dont know if he plans something because he was forced underground

Now he has a new tactic for recruiting: "You see, I'm saying the truth because the Jews and blacks are silencing me!". I say, let him spew his racist non-sense onto the marketplace of ideas and together with his tweets you see replies.

So saying “Jews are evil” is “racist” and not acceptable, but saying “whites are evil” is completely okay...🤔

¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Everyone on Twitter who posts racial bigotry or attempting to ignite a race war should be deplatformed. David Duke certainly. As well as a number of Democrat politicians who spent the last few years tweeting ageist, racist, sexist bigotry against "old white men."

Hey Jack Dorsey! Do Louis Farrakhan next! Oh...if you say Jews & whites are pigs and dogs, that’s okay? Gee. I had no idea...

Twitter has the right to prevent terrorist propaganda and recruitment tactics on their platform. They have the right to omit obscene content, like porn or graphic language for instance. Davis Duke is a garbage person who has offered nothing constructive and contributed nothing to society. Why does he deserve a platform to spew terrorism? Why should any terrorist network deserve protection of the Constitution? We never treat enemy combatants that way, why do Nazi terrorists deserve special treatment?

Ok, so he has his views. I’ve watched a video of his to see what he was all about and it didn’t once reveal how he wanted violence or any type of uprising against black people. I’m not taking anyone’s side, before the feigned ‘hate’ begins, I just researched a video where he wanted open and frank debate about crime statistics and the total lack of equality regarding the persistent and hysterical attack on white people. If anything- watch the view and tell me goldberg isn’t a racist and ask why she hasn’t been banned/ silenced.

Duke is despicable. His views are hateful, factually incorrect, racist, and just stupid. But part of the freedom we have, or used to have, is freedom of speech. Twitters censorship is more dangerous than Dukes views. Is Twitter also deleting Antifa and BLM? There are also hate groups.

Yet antifa can organize and plan domestic terror attacks all over America 🤔

Twitter is a private business and can ban whoever they want. You'd think that corporatists conservatives would appreciate that, no?

I wish America hated the KKK and much as they hate BLM

David Duke is evil, true... but he's just an insignificant portion of humanity, it's all of humanity that is evil. All colors, all countries, all religions. The thing humans have in common with all other humans, is our tendency for cruelty to other each other, animals, and children... every vulnerable creature has been hurt by OUR hands. And we gleefully continue. Examples of humanities' cruelty: Horseshoe crabs that are stuck to tubes to drain their blood while they are alive for Chinese medicine. Animals being used in experiments to benefit humans (when there are other scientific methods that can be used). Mexican children held in detention away from their parents, who may be just dumped back in Mexico with no where to go. Just three off the top of my head.

The only hate speech there is the act of censorship. Bad ideas need the light of day to expose them as bad ideas. “When you tear out a man’s tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you’re only telling the world that you fear what he might say.” – Tyrion Lannister

Wait he wasn’t already banned? How could they justify banning 1000s of more mainstream content providers but not the head of the kkk?

This is a DIRECT CONSEQUENCE of the Republicans disinformation campaign and the Russian interference in our 2016 elections. Countries like the UK, and others in the EU demanded that social media companies did everything they could to stop the spread of disinformation to operate in their countries. Disinformation is a threat to our Democracy this is precisely why this is happening 🤷‍♀️ and your all here sitting at your keyboards squabbling about Leftists and it being a threat to our freedom of speach... Talk about missing the point..

Ok, now ban Antifa and all the other racists. Oh that's right, they won't because their racism is not only acceptable, it's apparently desirable.

They can ban whoever they like. But if they are to be consistent they'd have to ban every 'white ppl are evil' account too or this only helps white supremicists. Ideally, you ban no one, let all these fruits spout their nonsense and let everyone else throw digital tomatoes at them.

Twitter,Facebook,Reddit and all the other "social media" shit should be banned anyway..it has too much power and influence and is basically full of trolls, loudmouths and fake news..
