Fauci ’cautiously optimistic’ about availability of COVID-19 vaccine by year end

The nation’s top infectious diseases expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci told the Congress that he is ’cautiously optimistic’ that the US public would have access to a ’safe and effective’ vaccine by the end of this year. He also said that the US might not need to depend on other countries for the vaccine, and expressed skepticism over Russia and China’s fast track vaccine efforts.

The vaccine can't come soon enough. Even just news that a vaccine is available will go a long way to restoring normalcy and will start the process of calming people down.
