Court orders release of teen detained over schoolwork

The Michigan Court of Appeals ordered the release of a teenage girl from a juvenile facility where a county judge sent her for failing to do schoolwork. In April, the girl identified as ’Grace’, was facing larceny and assault charges stemming from altercations with her mom and a theft at school. The judge allowed Grace to stay out of detention on conditions, one being completion of schoolwork.

Jason Smith is the one who failed that child not the Court. The Court Order said she would do this, that and the other thing or lose her freedom. Instead of publicly wringing your woke hands after your hands off Administration flunked her, YOU should have made ADD expert tutors available. The Court made it’s position on what would happen if the girl flunked clear and put it in writing. Do you think we are idiots?
