Florida’s Governor declares emergency as Hurricane Isaias closes in

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an order Friday declaring ’a state of emergency in every coastal county of Florida’s east coast, from Miami-Dade to Nassau counties’. This comes as Hurricane Isaias will drench Florida’s Atlantic coast this weekend after passing over the Bahamas. Isaias is currently a Category 1 hurricane, with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph.

I wonder what the plan would have been if it was a higher category hurricane. The norm is to vacate the state, but with a pandemic most states would not want a sudden surge of visitors.

Maybe trump will take off when the storm hits. Only hope he gets taken out in the process no one would miss him anyway.
