China won’t accept ’theft’ of TikTok, says state media

Chinese state media have slammed Washington for what it calls the US’ ’nasty’ treatment of TikTok. ’The US’ decoupling from China starts with killing China’s most competitive companies’, wrote the Global Times in an editorial published Monday. State-run newspaper China Daily dismissed a potential sale of the app as a ’smash and grab’ raid orchestrated by the US government.

The CCP talking about "theft" of TikTok by Microsoft is beyond hypocritical. The CCP has stolen so much Western technology and discriminated against its companies in China, that even peeping a sound about the West doing this is just crazy. Imagine, the CCP is railing that the US are going against WTO rules while they themselves are so deep in violation they should be expelled! Next up: WeChat.... Which is, actually, a threat and does share user information with the CCP...
