Tlaib gains lead over Brenda Jones in early vote count in Democratic primary

The Associated Press reported that Rep. Rashida Tlaib has gained a large lead in a Democratic primary over Brenda Jones, the President of the Detroit City Council. With a large number of absentee ballots, the final results might take some time to declare. AP reported that while Rep. Tlaib had garnered 66 percent of the total vote, Ms. Jones had 34 percent of the vote.

For all the slandering that is targeted against progressives, they are winning elections. Sure, their ideas might be problematic, sure, their ideas might be a bit too revolutionary, but if they are being voted by people, does it not mean something?
