Former police officer who fatally shot Rayshard Brooks sues city over firing

Garrett Rolfe, a former police officer with the Atlanta Police who fatally shot Rayshard Brooks has sued the mayor and interim police chief. Mr. Rolfe argued that his constitutional rights and the city code stood violated due to his firing. Prosecutors, meanwhile, have also asked a judge to revoke his bond. Mr. Rolfe was fired on June 13 a day after he shot Brooks outside a Wendy’s in Atlanta.

Good, I hope he wins. Those two officers were patient and gave Rayshard Brooks every chance to comply with a just and lawful arrest. Let us not forget that Rayshard drove so drunk to that Wendy's that he passed out in the drive through line, endangering countless people's lives along the way. He then violently resisted arrest. Also, not that it matters, but he had been let out of jail early due to COVID. His crime, injuring his children and other domestic abuse. No sympathy
