Acting State Department IG resigns months after previous IG was fired

US State Department’s Acting Inspector General Stephen Akard is leaving his post and returning to the private sector after serving in the role for less than 3 months following the firing of the previous inspector general by President Trump at the recommendation of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Akard will be replaced by Diana Shaw. Shaw previously served as deputy inspector general.

"Akard's departure comes just as his office finalizes a report on Pompeo's controversial decision to bypass Congress to sell $8.1 billion in arms to Saudi Arabia and other Arab allies." So when did selling arms to the Arabs after bypassing Congress become acceptable? Plus, won't this whole situation only give more ammunition to the Democrats to make Trump look even more corrupt?
