Former clients of acting DHS chief received millions in contracts

As per a CNBC analysis, several former lobbying clients of current acting secretary of DHS Chad Wolf received millions of dollars’ worth of government contracts while he held senior positions within the department. Wolf was a lobbyist for over a decade at Wexler & Walker before he took leadership roles with DHS. Since then, his former clients reaped a total of at least $160M in contracts from DHS.

Per the CNBC article he recused himself from any decisions involving the companies he formally worked with. Unless evidence comes forth that he used his position to influence these decisions, it's really a nonissue. Good to know this happened though.

The real questions are: 1) How much was spent on contracts to other companies? 2) What is the delta between the amount of contracts before and after having earned his position in the DHS? Until these questions are answered, I don't see anything wrong.
