Nightly protests strain Portland police resources says chief

The chief of Portland Police has called for violence in the city to stop after it saw its 70th night of protests on Wed. The Portland Police Chief Lovell said that those dedicated to just provoking a police response through vandalism & violence were draining police resources. This is not achieving the goals of BLM movement and the violence has taken away from it in a really kind of concerning way.

All the actual peaceful protesters are doing is providing cover for rioters. If these protesters actually cared about the cause they claim to support they would stop protesting because after so many months people are sick of hearing about it and the press only covers the riots. There is nothing more to gain and continued protests only hurts your movement at this point.
