NYC setting up quarantine checkpoints for travelers from Covid-19 hot spots

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio has announced checkpoints across the five boroughs to comply with the state’s mandatory 14-day coronavirus quarantine rule for those arriving from 35 high-risk states and Puerto Rico, and could face up to $10,000 in fines if they choose to ignore it. Those flying into New York airports are also required to fill out a special travel form — or face a $2,000 fine.
