Swiss ink deal with Moderna for 4.5M doses of COVID vaccine

Switzerland’s government has struck a deal with Moderna to supply the country with 4.5 million doses of a COVID-19 vaccine if the US biotech firm successfully develops one. The Moderna deal would make it possible to vaccinate 2.25 million people, because one person would need two doses, covering Switzerland’s one fourth of the population. The value of the Moderna deal was not disclosed.
