Gilead says it will be able to meet global demand of remdesivir in October

Gilead Sciences said they will be able to make enough of its antiviral drug remdesivir to meet global demand due to the pandemic in October. The drug was developed to treat HIV, however, doctors have been using it on Covid-19 patients in recent months. Research has shown remdesivir has helped shorten the recovery time of some hospitalized coronavirus patients.
